Spotiguess Is Now Tapzz
Big news: Spotiguess is now Tapzz. 🎉
Same game, new name. If you’re a player, here’s everything you need to know. It’ll take you about a minute.
Why the change?
When I launched Spotiguess back in 2022, the name did exactly what it said: you guess songs, powered by Spotify. Simple.
But the game has grown a lot since then. It’s no longer just “a Spotify thing”, you can play with friends and family at parties, host multiplayer games, generate quizzes with AI, and much more. The old name was starting to feel too small for what the game had become.
Tapzz is short, easy to say in any language, and it’s ours. New name, new mascot, same obsession: making music nights with your people unforgettable.
What changes for you
Almost nothing.
- The name and the look. New logo, new mascot, new colors. You’ll see them roll out across the website and the apps.
- The website. We now live at tapzz.com, and the game is at app.tapzz.com.
- The apps. The mobile app updates automatically, one day the icon on your home screen will just say Tapzz. That’s it.
What doesn’t change
- Your account. Same login, same profile, same history. Nothing to do on your end.
- Your subscription. If you have one, it carries over exactly as it is.
- The game. Same quizzes, same multiplayer, same “shout the answer before your friends” energy.
- Your links. Old Spotiguess links and bookmarks will keep working, they’ll simply bring you here.
What’s next
The rebrand isn’t just a coat of paint, it’s the start of a bigger chapter. There’s a lot in the pipeline for the coming months, and Tapzz gives us the room to build it.
